Introduction
Tape trading is the trading of concerts and other rare recordings (bootlegs), with the express intent of expanding one's listening library. It is an entirely non-profit venture, which ensures its legality. It is generally inexpensive (just the cost of blank cassette tapes and postage). Tape trading can be a great hobby. It can be both fun and rewarding. A way to get new music and meet new people. But there are a few stumbling blocks as with any hobby.
The biggest obstacle to the beginning trader and indeed the veteran trader is finding people to trade with. Following closely behind this is lack of information. It is because of these two concerns, as well as a few others, that I have decided to create "The Smiths and Morrissey Tape Trading Resource Page", and indeed this whole site really.
To the best of my knowledge this is the only site of its type and was put together mostly because no one else had. So I hope it suits all your needs. If there is anything else you'd like to see here, let me know and I'll see what I can do about setting it up.
